ORANGEG PRESS KIT

OrangeG had begun writing and performing open mics in the Pittsburgh area before all of our worlds changed in 2020. During the pandemic, he was encouraged to release his music into world. In just a short, life-changing blink of an eye, an artist who loves to share his music and its messages with the world was born. Under the OrangeG moniker, he quickly built a large internet following (~12k followers on Twitter, ~2k followers on Instagram, ~1100 followers on Spotify). In addition to releasing his own tracks, OG has collaborated with artists across the globe (US, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, UK, France, Canada). OrangeG's debut album ("The Void Bereft") will be released October 14 2022, and a split EP ("I'll Take The River") with The Roundlakes (John Michie Collective and Chris James Willows - both artists in the UK) is out September 19, 2022.

OrangeG is a one-person indiefolk/rock/americana multi-instrumentalist based in Pittsburgh. His music was described as #WonkyCountry by the illustrious Moby Tanner. Songs from OrangeG are often introspective focusing on the social and mental challenges and revelations of life. Despite performing solo, OrangeG has perfected the art of projecting energy and emotion in his live shows. Multi-tasking is his speciality, often playing multiple instruments simultaneously (stringed instruments, harmonica, percussion) to weave a folky groove that gets minds moving and toes tapping.
